Sustainable Beauty.
The project brief was to reimagine the typical enclosure associated with mechanical system. In this instance the design was marriage of softer, organic forms with the accessibility and modularity of standardized units. Grundfos wanted to "sexy up" their SIGMA Waterheater, so through a series of form studies and R&D prototypes, the design team created an

easily serviceable, feminine frame & skin solution that allows commercial product to live outside the traditional mechanical room. It has since gone on to win a Green Dot Award for Industrial Products and an International Design Award Gold Prize for Sustainable Products.
